Alex David Kelly is a Trinidad based contemporary Caribbean artist with an interest in human nature and social dynamics. His work is currently concerned with encouraging a more honest discourse about what it means to be Caribbean. By calling into question prevailing traditional themes of Caribbean art and highlighting the true nature of life in the region, his work is meant to stimulating public reflection and effect social influence.

  • Born in Trinidad and Tobago in 1988 
     
  • Lives and works in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies  
     

  • Studied at the Department of Creative and Festival Arts of The University Of the West Indies, St. Augustine.  
     

  • First public work exhibited at the Night Gallery/Bohemia , Trinidad and Tobago 2012  
     

  • Design Consultant/Fabricator for the College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago’s Loose Change/Dollar Day project. 
     

  • Co-Facilitator in the Family Development and Children's Research Centre’s mural project, trinidad and Tobago 2013 
     

  • Co-Facilitator of community art outreach program at Mayaro Government Primary School, Trinidad and Tobago 2013
