30 artists including Maggi Hambling, Rob Ryan and Terry Duffy have donated art work for an online art auction to raise money for homelessness charity, The Connection at St Martin’s, art room which inspires and helps people move away from the streets.

The online art auction launches on Friday, 27 September and will be live for one week giving members of the public a chance to bid on the collection which includes stunning prints, paintings and photographs. There is something for everyone with bids starting at £20 and all proceeds go to the art room.

Art plays an important role in aiding homeless people’s recovery and improves self-esteem and well-being. Lesley, who attends the art room, explains the benefits it’s had to her life: “I learnt not just about the art, but how to deal with life. I feel part of life now, I don’t feel so alone any more, and more fulfilled.”
