Bill Psarras (1985) is a Greek artist and musician currently living in London. He holds a BA in AudioVisual Arts from the department of Audio Visual Arts – Ionian University (Greece) and an MA in Digital Arts from University of the Arts London – Camberwell College of Arts (United Kingdom). Since October 2011, he is PhD candidate in Arts and Computational Technology of Goldsmiths University of London, conducting practice-based research on the exploration of emotional geographies of the city through walking as art practice and embodied media practices. He is working on audiovisual installations, video art, sound, maps as well as music composition. Conceptually, his works have a strong relation with urban landscape, emotion, urban walking as art, non-place/place, and liminality. He has exhibited in various festivals internationally (Greece, UK, France, USA, China, Australia, Italy, Serbia) in galleries in Athens, London and Kiev as well as in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2010 in London. In 2012, his work was selected by Goethe Institut to be part of the media art project ‘Art Up’ between Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria (2012-2013). He also exhibited at the annual exhibition of contemporary art for emerging Greek artists entitled ROOMS2013 of Kappatos Gallery. His publications have been presented in ISEA 2013 International Conference (Australia), 4th Emotional Geographies International Conference (Netherlands), Hybrid City International Conference (Greece), 7th NECS Conference (Portugal), 126th AES Convention (Germany), in International Journal of Arts & Technology as well as in National Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki (Greece) among others. He is a member of Walking Artists Network [WAN]. As a musician, on 2010 he released his debut rock guitar instrumental album entitled Feeding My Desire and since then he composes relevant instrumental works which are distributed online in many countries.
