Charlie Levine is a curator, critic and consultant based in London, UK. Levine has been an independent curator since 2005. She is Chief UK Curator for Artfetch, an online commercial art gallery for emerging artists, and Funding Consultant and 2013 fair manager to Sluice Art Fair, London. She is founder, director and curator of independent contemporary art gallery TROVE, which opened in October 2009 at heritage site, The Old Science and Industry Museum in Birmingham, UK.
Levine's main interest is curating within heritage sites. Previous sites include Curzon Street Station, Birmingham (Creative Machines, Minimalist Sculpture, 2011) and Birmingham's Municipal Bank (Thrift Radiates Happiness, 2013). She has worked with a variety of artists both nationally and internationally as co-curator of Some Domestic Incidents at the 5th Prague Biennale, 2011 and Band / Ties a touring exhibition between the UK and Sweden.
Levine is also programme director of three at BPN Architects in Birmingham, UK and programme advisor to mac birmingham. She was also the curator and programmer of Aedas Presents which ran between 2011 - 2012.
