Profile/CV

My art explores the language of the human unconscious. In particular I investigate areas of human experience in which the border between subject and object, reality and dream becomes blurred. I explore the effects of repression upon the body, for example in my films ‘Sleepwalker’ 2005, ‘Tiny Pain’ 2004 and ‘Turned to Stone’ 2006. In these films I insist that the world of reality and dream are permeable, and that by elucidating the connection between them we gain a fuller understanding of human behaviour. My watercolours and paintings explore the ambigious space and atmosphere of dream activity.
