David Graham is a British born designer who graduated with distinction from The Royal College of Art and Imperial College’s Industrial Design Engineering double Masters course in 2009. Whilst there he developed ‘Move-it’ as a major project and subsequently won numerous awards, including the Tata Blue Skies Award for Disruptive Technologies, Age Concern and Help the Aged Design Award for Inclusive Community and the British Invention Society double gold Natural Earth Award. After graduation he attended the Imperial College Design London Fellowship. Move-it was selected for development, resulting in commercial interest in the product and Move-it Solutions Ltd being formed. In addition to the continued development of Move-it other products utilizing the patented technology, he has been recruited to work for Cardboard Future Ltd, which designs and manufactures cardboard office furniture. Graham is an obsessive innovator who delights in finding new insight in seemingly infertile ground and has a knack of utilizing the familiar in new ways and creating simple solutions to complex problems. He also has a wide pallet of skills, being as comfortable with inclusive and sustainable design as with the outlandish and decadent.
