David Harker

David Harker is an artist based in London. Through drawing and painting his current work assesses our experience of landscape and attempts to re-examine landscape painting as a genre. In 2010 he was awarded an Oppenheim-John Downes Memorial grant and a Pollock Krasner Foundation grant in 2007. He was short-listed for the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2004 and from 2001-2002 was a resident artist at the Florence Trust Studios in London. As well as exhibiting across the U.K., he has been in group shows in New York and Victoria, Australia. In 2001 he received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Hertfordshire.
