Dominique Humbert studied at the Beaux Arts of Hanoï in 2005. Since then, she has shown her lacquers in Paris, Brussels and Venice Exhibition. Her paintings are bright and colourful, but also have a depth and a sense of abstraction which come from the process of her work, where one image is often layered on top of another. Dominique's work spans a range of media including painting, collage papers, fabrics.
Dominique Humbert’s paintings thrive on paradox and play with depth in quiet, meditative compositions. Her lacquer art oscillates between constraints and spontaneity, meticulousness and gestural freedom, luxurious sophistication and simplicity.
