Douglas Clark

Doug Clark's recent work looks at the monument and how we can use and manipulate the genre in this day and age taking classic structures and update the form .His work embraces the industrial aesthetic, bringing to the forefront materials that which we normally ignore as "just being there". Earlier work investigates 'non-art'; to which he means functional constructions never envisaged as art, are taken as starting points from which new and idiosyncratic structures are developed.

Doug Clark has an MA in Fine Art and running in parallel to his own practice, is also engaged in post-grad research.
