InPrint-Is, invites artists to submit images for a juried exhibition and book publication - focusing on the creation of handmade prints using alternative, experimental, and traditional darkroom photographic processes. We are delighted to have Christina Z. Anderson as the 2015 Juror for InPrint-Is.
Christina Z. Anderson’s work focuses on the cultural and spiritual landscape in 19th century techniques, primarily gum and casein bichromate. Her work has been in over 90 shows and 30 publications. She has authored several books, two of which—The Experimental Photography Workbook and Gum Printing and Other Amazing Contact Printing Processes—have sold worldwide in 39 countries. Anderson recently co-authored Handcrafted: The Art and Practice of the Handmade Print (2014, Chinese text, co-authors Wang, Jianming, King) to promote the contemporary handmade print in China. Christina will choose a maximum of 20 prints, or 4 artists (who have submitted 5 images each), to exhibit their works in a gallery show to be held in Sydney, Australia, in September, 2015. Christina will also choose a further 15 artists artworks to receive a honourable mentions. All the artists selected by Christina will also have their artworks featured in an online exhibition, and a book publication that will be published to coincide with the launch of the exhibition.
