Ethical Fashion Thursday 03 March 2011 6.00 – 9.00pm Bethnal Green On Thursday 03 March 2011 The Papered Parlour will be taking over the V&A Museum of Childhood to host an ethical fashion festival as part of Fair Trade Fortnight. So far the line-up reads like a who’s who of ethical fashion: Fashion designer and V&A trustee Betty Jackson will be in attendance alongside the Guardian’s ‘Ethical Living’ columnist Lucy Siegle, who will speak about her forthcoming book ‘To Die For: Is Fashion Wearing out the World?’ London’s ultra-cool stylist Jocelyn Whipple will be running a unique workshop on green styling, plus eco-campaigners ‘Labour Behind the Label’ and ‘Love Fashion Hate Sweatshops’ will be offering top tips on how to be stylishly sustainable. The Papered Parlour will also be holding a series of free ‘make do and mend’ workshops with hotly-tipped bands Piney Gir, Cecille Grey and Hannah Peel providing a fabulous soundtrack for the night.
