Hus Gallery was founded in 2010 as a private dealership in Knightsbridge, specializing in showcasing artists through a series of pop-up exhibitions in New York, LA, Miami, Venice, Monaco and London. In October 2013, Hus Gallery opened to the public in Hanover Street, Mayfair. The space, sensitively renovated from an industrial unit, was designed by Hus and executed by Soho House.
The exhibition schedule at Hus maintains an emphasis on emerging talent who create highly executed works in a variety of media. The program rotates between exhibitions that support the careers of young gallery and project artists, and those that continue to promote serious critical attention for the mature gallery artists. In practice this includes showing internationally at art fairs such as SP-Arte and the Dallas Art Fair, as well as successfully securing the acquisition of works by museums such as the Victoria & Albert Museum. Hus frequently collaborates with galleries from Western Europe and the USA to promote their work abroad, and the artists have benefited from long-term patronage from major private collections in five continents.
