I have been painting in oil and working with encaustic for more than 20 years. I work in my barn in New York. My oil paintings are generally a return to the Sublime, creating serene and evocative landscapes from life around the world. They are usually large, 4 feet by 5 feet or so. I also create smaller, series of encaustics to create narrative between the tiles with the expression of light. I studied art and Russian philosophy at the University of Southern California, and the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I was the youngest member of the Art Students League voted in. I have painted all along the east and west coasts of the US, as well as London, France and Turkey, among others. I am the great great niece of the American painter, George Inness and feel my work is a spiritual expression and can be a visualization of a meditative state using the language of landscape.
