British Sculptor, b.1968. Trained at Frink School of Sculpture.
Direct carvings of the block avoid pre-conceived ideas through interplay with the medium. The work is often turned as imagery starts to appear, allowing the build up a number of layers before something dominant emerges. Often humanistic or organic in outcome, and influenced by work from life including clay sketches/studies of eminent sitters. A number of Triptychs are more conceptual, balancing three formal figurative elements.
