I am a mixed-media artist, originally from Seville and based in London. Since completing his degree in Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts (UAL) in 2012, I have developed another side of my artistic craft, with the making of abstract, figurative paintings and prints. My work has featured in several London group exhibitions – incl. 130 Views at Oxford House, Made in Bermondsey at The Bermondsey Project, The Ones to Watch At the Facade Gallery – and he presented his first solo show, “Colores dame colores”, at the Sharp Gallery in 2014 summer. I am currently working on a new series of collages and abstract work heavily exploring themes of consumerism, flesh and wit in the world of fashion and Pop art.

“To me, painting is an intimate adventure. I became increasingly interested in the effects created by the energy and vitality of colours and textures on different surfaces. I consider my cultural identity, from Southern Spain, its historical relations with North-African cultures, as a significant influence in my work as well as my life experiences from being a pleasure-seeking Londoner. Informed by a variety of art movements - such as Pop Art and the gesture of expressionism – my practise is a cheeky mix of sculpture and paintings, often playing with deconstruction of the ready-made and found objects as a starting point to explore new ideas.”
