After graduating in Fine Art at Byam Shaw at Central St Martins I took up an Artist's Residency at LCI USA and spent 3 months filming liquid crystal under the microscope and exploring polarization. Liquid crystal is the nectar which we seemingly cannot live without in 21st Century which is found behind most screens today. It's an organic material whose molecular structure is so unique allowing in considerable light. Under the microscope, my video Crystal Dream takes the viewer to another world and prompts us to take an amazing journey questioning colour, our perspectives, currents, illusion, science and time. The images here is Sci Art and are stills of the moving liquid often in 'phases' of up to about 15 sequence shots.

The works looks good printed onto reverse of 10m acrylic perspex just like glass but light and helps the 3D aspects.

Im working on a Sci Art Collection of products using my work with liquid crystal introducing ranges of glass panels ( wall art ), heat colour changing mugs, Iphone and Ipad covers, even skateboard covers. I paint in oils and am interested in collecting small bones for Assemblism. I teach children to paint in acrylics, watercolour and oil pastels.

I work from my new Sci Art studio and am available by appointment for commissions and scientific/art collaborations.
