Profile/CV

Karen Tang is an artist from London. Drawing on science-fiction, architecture and technology, Tang's “technorganic” installations and sculptures incorporate sound, light and commercially produced found objects. Recent exhibitions reference NASA’s plans to mine the moon, Apollo 17 astronauts’ drawings, Dr. Strangelove and Alien films, the books Vermillion Dreams, Idoru and Dan Dare comics. Since completing MFA Sculpture at the Slade, Tang's shows include the Economist Plaza, Jerwood Space, Ambika P3, The Agency, Art Rotterdam, Art Brussels and the South London Gallery. www.karentang.co.uk
