Lisa Slater



Lisa studied Three Dimensional Design at MMU in the late 80’s and went onto teach Design Technology in Skipton . In the last year she has set up a studio at Northlight in Hebden Bridge where she creates her work. She works in wood to make and apply simple mechanical movements to make automata. Mules are made from silver birch with horse hair tails. Ebony black birds in clock cases are a current new direction. She enjoys using the old mantle cases bring them back to life with a new purpose.
