Liz Charsley-Jory is an artist with an interest in landscape, working on paper with charcoal, oil pastel and ink. Subject matter is primarily coastal - the banks and waters of the Thames, and the forests and fields of the Gulf Islands off the coast of British Columbia. Born and raised in Canada, Liz obtained a degree in Fine Art and Theatre Design at the University of Victoria before moving to London, England, to pursue a career in theatre. Liz made props and scenic elements for many west end shows - CATS, Phantom of the Opera, Aspects of Love, Miss Saigon, and many others - before deciding to re-engage with her art practice, completing an MA in Drawing at Camberwell College of Art in 2008. Liz has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in London, and has work in private collections in the UK and Canada.
