“Residual fragments”, found in our ordinary urban landscape that embody a passage of time, fascinate me.    I draw inspiration from the wreckage of old abandoned buildings, torn billboards, walls layered with advertisements, graffiti, and peeling painted surfaces in varying stages of decomposition and decay.   In the studio, I work intuitively, constructing, juxtaposing, and tying together the multiple layers of imagery using a variety of printing techniques to create mysterious and dream-like narratives. I want the images to consider interplay between past and present, imagined and existing, permanence and change, and give symbolic form to the ephemeral nature of transition and transformation.
