I was born in Kranj(Slovenia)in 1956. I studied painting at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts, where I took my BA in 1978 under Profs Štefan Planinc (painting) and Milan Butina (Visual Arts theory) and completed my master class in painting under Profs Kiar Meško and Janez Bernik in 1981.I have been a freelance artist since 1992 and a member of the Association of Slovenian Artists (ZDSLU) since 1982. Since I completed my studies, I have continually worked, exhibited and participated in national and international art workshops and symposia in Slovenia and abroad. I work mostly in acrylic on canvas and paper and do ink drawings. My art works are kept in Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Canada. In addition, I design and paint stained glass windows and other works in glass and design liturgical embroidery for Church paraments. I have created several art works for churches and other interiors around Slovenia, in Croatia and in Germany. I also create design and illustrations for poetry books and visually distinctive signs. I publish texts on art occasionally, give lectures and hold workshops. Since I am interested in the synergy of different forms of art, presentations of my art works are often accompanied by performances involving music, contemporary dance and recitals.
