Maxine King trained at Camberwell College of Arts, London. Recent work includes sculptures, installations and paintings. The work is often processed based, combining found objects and materials to produce unsettling imagery.
Maxine King has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in London and the UK, including Whitechapel Gallery, Bruce Castle Museum, Gibberd Gallery, A Vision of Utopia Letchworth Garden City, Islington Museum, and The House of Detention, Clerkenwell. She produced Chadwell Way Sculpture Trail, a public art project featuring thirty one bronze sculptures in East Hertfordshire heritage sites and museums. Her work can be found in private collections in the UK, London, New York, Sydney, Berlin and Austria.
