Monika Wulfers



Born in Berlin, Germany; works and lives in Chicago, Illinois, and operates South-Branch Studio on the south side. Work spans forty years and has been shown in museums in the US, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, and Germany. Oeuvre includes video, digital photography, painting, and light. She was a Founding Member and Director of the Educational Foundation of ARC (Artists, Residents of Chicago) and served on the Board of N.A.M.E. Gallery. She was Resident Artist at Argonne National Laboratory, became a Visiting Assistant Professor in Studio Arts, served as Head of the Sculpture Department and Director of the Reicher Gallery at Barat College of DePaul University. Held adjunct professorship in Communication Arts, College of Lake County, Illinois. Work in Permanent Collections DePaul University, Wilhelm-Hack-Museum, Ludwigshafen, Germany, Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, Illinois, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Artists Books, Chicago, Illinois. Received an MFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois.
