My painting style fuses expressionism and surrealism, but I call my paintings “Thoughts and feelings in paint”. In a way it is a three-dimensional poetry, where the space is created by two dimensions of the painting and the third dimension of the title and sometimes notes. My paintings mediate feelings or sensations that I would like the viewer to “try on”, or thoughts I invite the viewer to explore. I use photography as a way to spotlight the beauty and complexity, which are already revealed in reality for a brief moment and are poised to be captured and saved for eternity.
