Trees and wood are a theme that has run through my life.

As a child , living in rural Hertfordshire I loved to run wild in the surrounding woodlands.

This love of the outdoors led to me working in various forestry related employment and to

eventually running my own fencing ,dyking and forestry business on the Isle of Arran.

My art developed from this background with the rhythems and the energy of nature being an inspiration.

By the mid-ninties I was working full-time as a sculptor and maker.

I sculpt from sections of fallen trees , creating abstract forms often with a functional element.

The sculpture,sculptural benches ,bridges and interior pieces are sitated in woodlands ,parks ,gardens ,schools,hospitals and

new developments across the UK ,Europe and the USA.

Much of the more recent work has been created for interior spaces ,which can be incorperated in new architecture ,buildings and homes.

I can work with landscape architects and interior designers

Commissions are undertaken and there are usually new pieces that can be viewed on request.
