Pierre Yves Clouin - Video Artist
Pierre Yves Clouin was born in Paris, where he studied architecture at ENSBA and where he began to exhibit his paintings, drawings and photos.
In 1995, he stopped painting definitively to devote himself to video.

His videos have been presented at sites such as BFI and Lux London, Paula Cooper Gallery and Apexart NYC, Media Art Lab Moscow and Pro Arte Institute St. Petersburg, Mexico City's Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario, Otis College for Art & Design and the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, the Guggenheim Bilbao, the Museum of Africa Johannesburg, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art Lille-Metropole, the San Francisco Art Institute, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the San Francisco Cinematheque, Oxford Museum of Modern Art, the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst in Antwerp, the Centre Pompidou, and selected in festivals worldwide: the International Film Festivals of San Francisco, Chicago, Cork, Thessaloniki, Moscow, Los Angeles, Ars Electronica and Sundance, among others. Pierre Yves Clouin lives and works in Paris. He recently won a CulturesFrance Hors les Murs residency in Quebec in 2010.
