Schwartz Gallery is a not-for-profit artist-run contemporary art gallery and project space founded in April 2008 by artist-curators Ismail Erbil and Patrick Michalopoulos. Providing exhibition and career development opportunities for emerging artists from the U.K and abroad, the gallery mainly shows installation and sculpture. Schwartz Gallery does not represent any of the artists who participate in shows and never hires its gallery space. Schwartz Gallery is housed in a late 19th century industrial building complex in Tower Hamlets Borough. The 3250 square foot gallery space is situated in Hackney Wick, London next to the 2012 Olympic Park.
