Pattie Byron



Pattie Byron creates artwork for public and private spaces. She combines her painting and sculpture background to produce relevant work that speaks about empowerment and community. “I’m on a mission to empower through creativity”. A native of Denver, Colorado, Pattie developed and taught classes and school programs based on the collections at the Denver Museum of Art and in public and private schools. She came to Cincinnati in 2001. She established Pattie Byron Studios for her work in metal and other mediums, and for the past several years she has also maintained a studio at the Pendleton Arts Center - #509b. Her industrial studio is in Fairfield, Oh. Her collection entitled “2bFemale” was featured at the Northwest Area Arts Councilʼs “Womenʼs Work 2009” show in Woodstock, Illinois. Recently she completed a public art sculpture for West Chester Township, Ohio. Her creative process and work can be viewed at www.pattiebyron.com. Along with artmaking, Pattie holds workshops and interactive lectures and is the Director of The Community Studio in Cincinnati, OH. Pattie received her BFA in Sculpture, Painting and Drawing and a minor in Art History at Xavier University
