Pedro Elizondo

Pedro.Elizondo

Profile/CV

Mexican born, California raised, and based out of New York artist exploring graphite as a medium, and landscape as subject matter. While my work is not fully representational, but rather symbolic, it is created with the intent to evoke our presence in the landscape. It stages an escapist and idealist landscape with pattern as an essential component to symbolize human presence and intervention in nature. The exploration of graphite is primarily a challenge both, to the viewer and myself to explore imaginary colors. Just as not all leaves are green or all roses red, my intent is for the color to be the individual's own experience. Graphite allows for shades to interpret, evoke and influence such individual imaginary color experiences.
