Rachel Price

Artist/curator with a varied background in Contemporary Art. Having worked both in an educational context and more recently as an independent curator, my concerns lie mainly with how art can be consumed by and made relevant to a wider audience. My current interests lie with the co-habitation of our digital and physical terrains, how we and utilise these resources and how the 'information age' may be adversely affecting our understanding of the material world and our social interactions. Adopting both a psychological and artistic stance, I hope to explore these concerns from more than one view point.

Recent projects include Information Centre, Hatch Space, Deptford (2011) - Deptford X commission, Bridging The Gap, Hatch Space, Deptford (2011), The Absurd Hero, Parts I & 2, Hatch Space & Core Gallery, London, 'Planning Permission', Squid & Tabernacle, London (2010) & 'Skinflint', Lewisham Arthouse, London (2010).

I am also projects coordinator for South London Art Map, currently responsible for delivering a series of professional development events to over 100 galleries & studios South of the river. Supported by ACE, SLG, Tate & Lewisham Council.

Works 2006 -2010
