In recent years I've put together exhibitions of colour photographs. This includes Bright Side Up: photographs of markets, fairs and show grounds, Taken in vibrant light, this work is a variant of pop art and presents popular culture in terms of both bravado and poignancy. Another exhibition is French Windows: photographs from different parts of France.The great tradition of French street photography is a touchstone, with images reflecting the quirkiness and poetry of everyday life. There is a more restrained style and complex compositions.
I trained as a Communication Designer, and my earlier work related to typography and text-based art. I also produced graphics, installations and video installations, influenced by both constructivism and conceptual art.
