Prolific producer of contemptuous art.
I originally trained as a graphic designer, studying for 4 years at a provincial college, before spending most of my working life in various design studios.
This gave me a consistent appreciation and awareness of art and design.
I have always produced my own work and have done so with no particular ambition other than the satisfaction of seeing it finished.
For most of this time I conceived work in two dimensions, however, 20 odd years ago I progressed into three dimensional work, using mannequins as a blank canvas and as a means to express my particular themes.
Each composition is a statement which addresses a subject which inspires me to produce a particular piece. My production rate is not prolific but I have now accumulated quite a few pieces which I have created over the years.
Four years ago, I displayed my work in an agricultural barn is deepest Dorset, significantly off the beaten track and in a venue not normally associated with art exhibitions. The exhibition ran for two weeks and in that time, 750 people came to see it and along with BBC South and the Dorset Echo, who both ran articles about it. I repeated the excercise in Studland, on the Isle of Purbeck earlier this year.
