Yael Schmidt is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in London. Her practice explores an individual state of mind within a broader environment and the inevitable sense of unease that accompanies the making public of a private act or thought. Recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition at V22 Ashwin Street Project Space (London), large-scale projection across Civic Hall, Millennium Square (Leeds) and a group exhibition at Gooden Gallery (London). Awards include a short-listing for ‘The Renaissance Arts Prize’ by The Italian Cultural Foundation, UK (2010). Publications include Camera Austria International and Fold06.
