Now in it’s 11th year, the KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival (7-17th March) returns to give audiences across London and the UK an opportunity to celebrate the best of Polish Cinema and the visual arts with an exceptionally diverse line-up. This year’s edition offers a feast for the eyes with a programme of insightful and inspiring screenings, exhibitions, interactive workshops and masterclasses. Focusing the spotlight on the work of some of Poland’s leading visual artists and designers the festival programme encompasses hand painted animation, experimental artist video, digital illustration and poster design, with works spanning from 1960 to the present day.

Highlights include: a masterclass with prolific Polish artist and poster designer Tomasz Opasinski as well as an accompanying exhibition of his work at Riverside Studios; a screening retrospective from pioneering Polish film and video artist Wojciech Bruszewski (1947-2009) hosted by Tate Modern; a presentation of the acclaimed films from Polish animator Witold Giersz at the National Gallery on 16th March including the UK premiere of his latest commission, Signum; as well as a free 4-day animation workshop event for children in collaboration with the London International Animation Festival at the Riverside Studios on the weekends of 9/10th and 16/17th March.
