Damien Hirst has forged a partnership with award winning designers 'The Row' to create a range of spotted backpacks which will be sold to benefit  UNICEF. The collection sums up the inovative design team and the Turner Prize winning artist's ability to merge art and design for a good cause. Dubbed a study in contrast, The Row's black patent leather/Nile crocodile leather bags have been adorned with the colorful "spots" made famous by Hirst's works that have been on a worldwide tour. The bags will be sold in this year's Gagosian Gallery. Christmas Pop Up shop. The edition is strictly limited with 12 signed and numbered by the artist, on sale for GULP! $55,000

THE ROW was established in 2006 by former TV teeny bop child-stars Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen. Since its launch, the brand has expanded to include a range of ready-to-wear, eyewear, and handbags. THE ROW reflects a sense of relaxed and timeless elegance, focusing on fine fabrics and the perfect fit. In 2012, The Council of Fashion Designers of America named Ashley and Mary-Kate as Womenswear Designers of The Year. Part of THE ROW’s mission is to support high-end fashion manufacturing in the US.

Damien Hirst was born in Bristol in 1965. He studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London from 1986 to 1989 and is considered by many to be the leading figure of the group known as "Young British Artists". The YBAs are characterised by their entrepreneurial spirit, independence and their ability to manipulate the media.Hirst dominated the art scene in Britain during the 1990s.
