Garage Magazine Holds Garage Sale In Support Of Arts Education

Garage Magazine is presenting their first ever GARAGE Sale which consists of an online benefit auction in the tradition of the American garage sale.

Thirteen well known artists and creative minds have rummaged through the forgotten corners of their homes to uncover long lost treasures to auction in support of arts education. The benefit auction will be hosted on eBay and runs from Sunday, January 25th at 6:00PM PST until Wednesday, February 4th at 6:00PM PST. Here is the direct  link to the Garage Benefit Auction

Proceeds from the auction will be split between the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), one of the world’s leading art schools, and the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art Education Center in Moscow, which provides children with workshops and courses through which to explore their creativity and express their personalities.

The auction includes works by Assume Vivid Astro Focus, Antony Beevor, James Franco, Miuccia Prada, Gelitin, Barry McGee, Marc Newson, Richard Phillips, Josephine Meckseper, Tyrone Lebon, Joanna Lumley, Jeff Koons and Carsten Höller.

Forgoing the conventional garage sale atmosphere, GARAGE will host its sale on eBay’s digital auction platform, creating a virtual front lawn accessible to millions of potential bidders rather than a few curious neighbours.
