Emily Bradbury of ‘True Rocks‘ and Dawn Hindle of ‘Ibiza Rocks’ are set to launch their first jewellery collaboration, with the YBA artist Gavin Turk.  “Bitten” ‘Rich Tea Biscuit’ will have its first showing next week in Ibiza. Turk’s “Bitten” ‘Rich Tea Biscuit’ is produced in a limited edition in a signed numbered box. The pendent depicts Gavin’s iconic work of art – the bitten rich tea biscuit which has been beautifully cast and crafted in an edition of 100, available in solid silver, Yellow gold plate on silver and Rose gold plate on silver. All pendants come with a quality chain that is solid silver or gold plated silver. It 16-18″ in length. They will also be making a limited edition of 10  in solid 18 carat  Rose & Yellow gold to order. The edition number will be engraved on the back.

Ibiza Rocks House at The Pikes Hotel is the offshoot boutique after party destination of Ibiza Rocks. The collaboration for a new jewellery brand, True Rocks was established when Emily and Dawn  met in Ibiza one  summer when Dawn was hosting a gig for The Specials  – Dawn is one half of the successful team behind Ibiza Rocks and Emily has a strong reputation for creating innovative product ranges collaborating with leading British artists. “When we met in Ibiza, it was a meeting of the minds. We knew that we were going to work together creatively and decided that we wanted to also collaborate with those who inspire us in contemporary art, fashion and music. By creating a jewellery collection under the banner of True Rocks, this reflects both our personalities – in other words, a jewellery collection with attitude”.

Having previously made work with tea stains on watercolour paper, Gavin Turk produced a limited edition art work of signed Rich Tea biscuits for the 2006 Art Car Boot Fair, biting, signing and framing an original biscuit. Gavin views tea and biscuits as an essential element of Britain’s cultural history and the ‘bite’ gesture breaks the circularity of the biscuit and refers to a loss of innocence.
