House Of Peroni Showcasing Cutting Edge Art And Design Opens In London
House Of Peroni, an ambitious project sponsored by the celebrated Italian brewery is showcasing the work and ideas of some of the biggest creative names in Italy. The project opened its doors last night to an enthusiastic crowd of art-lovers and industry insiders. The guests were treated to a futuristic art and design exhibition which included work by Ludovica Gioscia, Giacomo Lion, Carlo Bernardini, Piero Lissoni, Carlo Brandelli,and Giovanni Alessi Anghini, the grandson of the firms founder.
Food was prepared by the Michelin star chefs the Costardi Brothers. Drinks were all Peroni based cocktails mixed with unusual juices, herbs and spices. This is the first project of its kind for the brand who have appointed an Italian Creative Council from across the creative arts.The collaborators have been commissioned by Peroni to deliver innovative new work for the project. The work revealed in a unique immersive design experience is open for a month long residency at 41 Portland Place in central London this month and again in November.
Creative Contributors include:
Piero Lissoni : The celebrated minimalist designer has become a leading figure in his field due to his advocacy of elegantly simple ideas and brings his minimalistic approach to the creation project.
Carlo Brandelli: Also talking part in the creation project is this multi-disciplinary creative whose modern aesthetic principles push the boundaries between fashion, art and design.
Contributors include young Italians whom they believe that represent the new wave of Italian creativity whose work will be featured in The House of Peroni.
Ludovica Gioscia : A young, celebrated, fine artist who merges jarring social commentary with loud, maximalist screen-printed and digitally created wallpaper installations. Her site specific work will provide the inspirational backdrop to a series of immersive events and workshops within The House.
Giacomo Lion : A new-wave, thread installation artist -Giacomo Lion - is largely touted by Milanese gallerists as the next big thing and brings his ethereal work to the July residency in the form of geometric thread sculptures and imposing installations.
Martino Gamper : Famed for his “100 chairs in 100 days” exhibition showcased from Milan to San Francisco and beyond , Martino Gamper is an East London based artist who will bring his unmistakable aesthetic to The House of Peroni creation project.
