ICADF Launch 2014 Art And Design Fair Initiated by Candid Arts Trust

ICADF

During the month of October and running for four weeks, the ICADF (Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair) is an established selling exhibition showcasing some of the best emerging, local London artists. Now in its tenth year, the ICADF gives artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work to a dedicated group of art enthusiasts, buyers and collectors, in one of the largest contemporary art venues in Central London.

The ICADF is a project initiated by Candid Arts Trust, a self-funded registered Charity part of the Candid Arts Centre in Angel, the mission and objective of which is to promote emerging artists and designers right out of college and help them establishing themselves as professionals by displaying their work in curated exhibitions (College Group shows, solo or group exhibitions, fairs…).  Candid Arts Trust acts as an intermediary between artists or designers and clients willing to purchase their works. Recently, arts education has become the new spearhead of the Charity, introducing and developing a whole new educational programme offering various classes, courses or workshops to everyone.

The ICADF has become one of the largest independent art Fairs in London and offers a unique event mixing both emerging talents and established professional artists. The first two week-ends of the Fair will be entirely dedicated to visual arts, with an emphasis put on Painting and Sculpture during the first week-end while focusing on Photography, Illustrations & Printmaking for the second week-end. The rest of the week will concentrate on Design and Crafts, putting the light on Textile, Fashion and Jewellery industry while closing on the art of Ceramis, Furniture & Design for the final week end.

The ICADF is a multidisciplinary, multi-faceted unique event which presents you what is best in art and design now, and giving a place of honour to young designers and artists. If you have always wanted to start your own art collection, the Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair might be the right place for you.
