Kate Middleton Tops A list At V&A Museum Party

An Olympic-themed, Night At the Museum party which is bound  to be one of the celebrity parties of the year, is to take place at the Victoria and Albert museum at the start of the Olympic period. The party will be hosted by none other than Angelina Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt. It is rumoured that Kate Middleton and Prince william will be in attendance. The V&A is one of Brad Pitts favourite haunts in London. An avid collector of 20th century decorative arts he has acquired an impressive collection of British silver by the Liberty & Co designer Archibald Knox, who he named his son after.

The party is in aid of Sports For Peace a charity close to Angelina's heart . She is hosting it in honour of Muhammad Ali the boxer who suffers from advanced Parkinson's disease. It will take place two days before the Olympics official party on the 25th July. Other A-Listers invited include David and Victoria Beckham, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Prince Harry.

Ms Jolie has been on field missions around the world and met with refugees and internally displaced persons in more than 20 countries, including Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Cambodia, Pakistan, Thailand, Ecuador, Kosovo, Kenya, Namibia, Sri Lanka, North Caucasus, Jordan, Egypt, New Delhi, Costa Rica, Chad, Syria, and Iraq, to name a few, and has visited earthquake victims in Haiti on her trip to help survivors of conflict and natural disaster.
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, dedicated to eradicating extreme rural poverty, protecting natural resources and conserving wildlife, donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. in April 2012 was appointed as Special Envoy of UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres. In her new and expanded role, she will be focusing on major crises resulting in mass population displacements; undertaking advocacy and representing UNHCR and Guterres at the diplomatic level; and engaging with decision-makers on global displacement issues. Through this work, she will help contribute to the vital process of finding solutions for people displaced by conflict.
