The London Photo Festival has announced the theme for their 2014 event. Landscape photography, including urban landscapes will be the thrust of this highly anticipated 7th biannual London Photo Festival, which takes place in October.  Photographers are still invited to submit their work now.

“We created the London Photo Festival in 2011 to showcase up and coming talent and to provide new and emerging photographers with an opportunity to exhibit their work, have it professionally appraised and sell their work to the public.  We will be holding our 7th Festival in October and we hope to continue to grow and promote photographers from around the globe,” said Emma Mapp and Kit Shah, Co-founders of the London Photo Festival.

October 2013’s Judge, Zoe Whishaw, commercial photographer, editor and art director, formerly of Getty Images http://www.zoewhishaw.com/Bio.html will be hosting a Master Classon “Commercial Travel Photography: Considerations and Practice” and tickets can be obtained directly  from the Festival’s website.   This October’s Judge will be announced in due course.

The London Photo Festival continues to help, support and launch the careers of photographers: May’s “Best in Show’s” winner was Mark Heathcote’s ‘Spotted on the Underground' judged by Colin O’Brien.  Mark Heathcote commented; "I have attended the two previous Festivals and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the submissions and the opportunity given to emerging photographers to showcase their work in such an incredible venue. This festival is a must see for anyone interested in photography, and being a part of the 2014 festival gave me great pride; winning first place was unexpected and a great honour, especially since this was my first exhibition. Thank you to all the organisers for giving myself and everyone else the opportunity to showcase their work. I very much look forward to the next one."
