Resonance fm, who have been extremely innovative and supportive of the London visual arts community are holding their Annual Fund-Raiser from 10 to 16 February, with a series of live events, an on-line auction and plenty of special broadcasts. They hope to secure £50,000 reserves in order to bolster their next funding application to Arts Council England, who have generously supported the station for the last 11 years. The exciting news centres around their many friends who have organised a variety of amazing entertainment – all proceeds going to Resonance. With your help they can keep their unique and exceptional broadcast service on air and advert-free! All Resonance104.4fm programmes are broadcast and engineered by volunteers.

Resonance fm fills a void that supports projects that have no place in traditional broadcasting. It is a radio station that is an archive of the new, the undiscovered, the forgotten, the impossible. That is an invisible gallery, a virtual arts centre whose location is at once local, global and timeless. And that is itself a work of art. Imagine a radio station that responds rapidly to new initiatives, has time to draw breath and reflect. A laboratory for experimentation, that by virtue of its uniqueness brings into being a new audience of listeners and creators. All this and more, Resonance104.4fm aims to make London’s airwaves available to the widest possible range of practitioners of contemporary art.

Resonance 104.4 fm is the world’s first radio art station, established by London Musicians’ Collective. It started broadcasting on May 1st 2002. Its brief? To provide a radical alternative to the universal formulae of mainstream broadcasting. Resonance 104.4 fm features programmes made by musicians, artists and critics who represent the diversity of London’s arts scenes, with regular weekly contributions from nearly two hundred musicians, artists, thinkers, critics, activists and instigators; plus numerous unique broadcasts by artists on the weekday “Clear Spot”.

The Bermuda Triangle Test Transmission Broadcasts is a weekly radio programme made by the trio of sound artists Melanie Clifford, Howard Jacques & Nick Wilsdon for London’s radio arts station, Resonance104.4fm, every Thursday 11pm – midnight. The engineers test sounds and ideas within and without the broadcast studio. Howard Jacques' Bermuda Triangle has been a regular feature in various guises on Resonance 104.4 fm since 2002.
