Miami Beach, FL, November 19, 2013 – As part of its second edition UNTITLED. will present a dynamic program of performances, talks, conversations and artist projects. Programming will complement UNTITLED’s innovate approach to the traditional art fair model which places emphasis on the quality of the viewer’s experience and the contextualization of the artworks exhibited.

UNTITLED. is an innovation of the traditional art fair model for international galleries and nonprofit art spaces with a focus on emerging and midcareer contemporary art. Our emphasis on international living artists and Omar Lopez-Chahoud’s curatorial approach showcases some of the most exciting contemporary art from around the globe.

This year UNTITLED. has expanded to more than 90 galleries and not-for-profit spaces from 19 countries. UNTITLED. will again be presented on the beach in a pavilion designed by internationally recognized architecture firm K/R, with a floor plan to emphasize the fair’s unique curatorial approach, enhancing the visitor’s experience.

PERFORMANCES

Monday, December 2  6:00 pm

Orifice Does Miami
Location: The main hall near the entrance
Jacolby Satterwhite’s site specific performative video installation debuts a new custom made body sculpture for the event, where the artist performs as an avatar from his 3D animations. The 5-hour endurance performance expands and blurs the spatial barriers between the video and live action arenas. Satterwhite utilizes a provisionally choreographed dance performance based on drawings often referenced in his practice. The variables in the performance shift based the audience and location of the performance.

Sky Tiding  7:00pm

Location: At the water’s edge near the UNTITLED. pavillion
TM Sisters, a Miami sibling duo who work in digital video performance, collages, multimedia installations, sculpture, fashion, video games, and VJing, will perform and facilitate a multi-media, multi-artist collaboration at the water's edge - an opening ceremony blessing just like one that writer von Goethe would envision from his participatory study of colour phenomena:

Light and darkness united dynamically by means of turbidity generate colour.
Therefore being and non-being give rise to each other,
The difficult and easy complement each other,
The long and short shape each other,
Voices and instruments harmonize with one another,
The front and rear follow upon each other.
-J.W. von Goethe
