US Car Giant Promotes Young Film Makers
Chevrolet and MoFilm competition make it happen
Chevrolet, the US car brand and MoFilm a global organisation which inspires film-makers to create videos for big brands and social causes have Joined forces to sponsor a competition to inspire young film makers to promote the introduction of seven new Chevrolet cars to the European market. The quality of the short films were impressive and all captured the “Make It Happen” tag-line successfully. The films project a feel good factor using triumphs and personal storytelling to highlight this edgy campaign. The shorts were all produced by emerging filmmakers. All complement the main commissioned film titled, "The Warehouse", a slightly surreal ad showing that Life is full of opportunities and implying, don't miss them. Make it Happen. First prize went to Ben Tedesco for his retro inspired ad showing a family moving house. Second prize Winner Selim Mete - Leftover Opportunities a film about a cellist and an audition with chance meeting of an attractive woman. Third prize Winner Mark Rinehart - The Boxer shows an aspiring boxer fighting back to a KO. 4th prize Winner, Hodges Usry - Astronomy Class, portrays a Chris Martin lookalike registering for night classes which leads to his becoming an astronaut and 5th prize Winner David Zandman - Perfect tells a story of a retired couple recounting their first date in a bowling alley.
