| Antikmässan, the Stockholm International Antiques Fair, is the top Nordic fair for antiques, art, furnishings and design. The next edition of Antikmässan will take place on April 2-5, 2009 at Stockholm International Fairs, Älvsjö. |
Antikmässan presents items in the elegant Gustavian style dating back to 18th century Sweden. Objects in the 19th century Karl Johan style (the Swedish version of the French Empire style) are also on display. Last but not least - and it's hot stuff around the globe - vintage/modern interior and fashion design (20th century Scandinavian) is presented.
The theme for the 2009 edition of the Antiques Fair is It's your home - let if reflect your personality. With the theme we aim to inspire our visitors to use antiques in new ways as part of their home furnishings to create a unique style that reflects their individual personalities. To create a home that is essentially theirs.
The theme will be carried throughout our special exhibitions; - Vintage interior & fashion staged by Lotta Ahlvar, managing director for the Swedish Fashion Council - Antique & Modern - 2009 by stylists Charlotte Pettersson and Karolina Karlsson for the magazine Sköna hem (Sweden's leading magazine for interior decoration and design) - À table! a journey in time and plate staged by eco-stylists Aia Jüdes and Sanna Gebeyehu.
