C.A.HALPIN 'Inside The Outside World' - The Outside World

Bookmark and Share

This is the first of a four part series of exhibitions following the career, ideas and ideals of C.A.HALPIN, founder of The Outside World.  This inaugural exhibition focuses on a series of hand drawn books made in the early nineties whilst the artist was living in France and in Spain.  The show takes us through the connections and relevance of these books to the larger scale works produced during this time to three new paintings to be exhibited for the first time at this show.

The Outside World is a gallery space established in 1996 in Shoreditch and at the time was closely linked to the YBA movement. Originally showing Outsider Art, The Outside World Gallery now exhibits the work of new and emerging artists as well as providing a space for live events and performances.
