CHRIS GOLLON: Recent Paintings - IAP Fine Art
Twelve new paintings, including figurative and still life paintings from the LOVE series (2010-2011). Chris Gollon explores and breathes new life into the ancient theme of LOVE: unconditional love, unrequited love and love fulfilled. He also looks at other forms of love such as friendship, maternal love and sisterhood. The use of very deep, soft, matt blacks, and the combination of realism and abstraction, bring a poetic beauty to the new work. Pictured here is The Two Friends (II).
