Do You Remember Olive Morris? - Gasworks

Bookmark and Share

Do you remember Olive Morris?, the new exhibition at Gasworks, uncovers the largely untold history of Brixton-based activist Olive Morris (1952-1979). Developed by artist Ana Laura Lopez de la Torre, this exhibition is a culmination of three years of community-led research inspired by this remarkable figure in South London's recent history.

The exhibition serves as a contextual backdrop for a weekly programme of events around the issues that Olive Morris championed during the 1970s and that remain significant today, ranging from from squatting and immigration to self-education.
