Fernando Herlop, Pocket Universes - The Outside World
Pocket Universes is a collection of vivid and colourful abstract paintings by Fernando Herlop created during his residency at the prestigious Porthmeor Studios in St Ives this summer.
Inspired by the Cornish light, the sea and the history of the Porthmeor studios where Francis Bacon and Patrick Heron painted, Herlop created 15 vibrant paintings.
Herlop, who lives and works in Madrid, has won many awards, had five solo shows in Madrid, and exhibited many times in group shows, in Spain and abroad. This show concretes his ideas about space, fluidity of movement and light.
