Rhubarb Rhubarb photography bursary winnersRhubarb-Rhubarb has partnered with Arts Council West Midlands, its own Rhubarb East Gallery,
Birmingham; Flowers Gallery London,and Genesis Imaging to bring the second year of the highly
digestible 'Hungry' Bursary Awards Scheme
The theme is Collision - Where Image Worlds Meet
which mirrors the title of the 2010 Rhubarb International Review. The 2010 Bursary was open to
photographers who are interested in where documentary, commercial and fine art practices merge or
cross over.
The Bursary Scheme aims to show the best of UK photographers, alongside those in the West
Midlands, from different stages of their development, outlined in the Rhubarb Pyramid of Opportunity
In early April the judges met to decide the winners from the 120 applications received. 7 winners were
picked of which are exhibited here.The winners also received exhibition prints by Genesis Imaging, an
exhibition at Flowers Gallery, London between 9th September – 9th October 2010 a day at one of the
Rhubarb tailor made events, a place at the Rhubarb International Promenade and seminar.
West Midlands winners also received a Business Link Creative Clinic with a dedicated
business advisor.

Hungry Scheme , Rhubarb aim to nurture talent, inspire growth, create opportunities for future image
endeavours and bring together photographers with international experts who can influence and advise
on current market matters and share image world knowledge. Congratulations to the winners, we hope
that the scheme is a fruitful and rewarding experience.
